Upasana Unveils Sandhya Raju’s ‘Natyam’ First Look


Classical dance used to be the soul of Telugu movies in past. Especially, directors like K Viswanath patronized Telugu art and culture through their timeless classics which used to touch every nerve and emotion. However, those films gradually gave way to the new age cinema.

After so long, a film based on classical dance; Natyam’ is going to greet the audience. Kuchipudi dancer Sandhya Raju will be playing the lead role in the movie and she shares the screen with Kamal Kamaraju and Rohit Behal. Ram Charan’s wife Upasana Konidela has taken time to share the first-look motion poster of this inspirational film.

Revanth Korukonda is giving life to the tale of the dancer by penning the story, script, along with the direction. Besides, he is also transferring his vision on to the celluloid through cinematography. The movie is shot in the Temples of Hampi, Lepakshi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

Leading lady Sandhya acted in a short film with the same name and she portrayed the role of a housewife who rediscovers her passion towards the classical dance.  She also acted in a Malayalam film titled ‘Careful.

Aditya Menon, Subhaleka Sudhakar, Bhanupriya and Baby Deevana play other key roles in ‘Natyam’. Nishrinkala Films is producing it while music is scored by Shravan Bharadwaj.
