Tamil film actor popular for playing comic roles has passed away in the early hours on Saturday. He was 59 and he breathed his last after he was admitted to SIMS hospital at Vadapalani in Chennai. He underwent angioplasty in the hospital as one of the arteries of the heart was completely blocked.
The medical bulletin released by the hospital confirmed that Vivek died at 4:35 am after he was put on ECMO support in ICU. Doctors stated that it is the first time that the actor has come with such a complaint and unfortunately he succumbed to acute coronary syndrome with a cardiogenic shock.
He was admitted to the hospital by his wife and daughter at 11:00 PM on Friday. Hospital reports clarified that he did not have Covid-19. The actor took the first jab of Covid – 19 vaccine recently. Some are claiming that his health kept deteriorating after he took the vaccine but the hospital refuted the rumours stating that the cardiac arrest may not be due to the vaccine.
Vivek acted in over 300 films and was very popular even in Telugu as well through several dubbed films. The Tamil film fraternity has expressed that it is a huge loss for the community and condoling the death of the star comedian.
