It has been a long wait for the TFI as well as the cine lovers to watch a movie in theatres. The pandemic has propelled many into hibernation. But finally, breaking all the shackles, Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Solo Brathuke So Better’ hit the screens on 25th December 2020.
There were many speculations about the footfall at the cinema halls and the whole industry wished the movie does well at the box office. And also, there was much uncertainty over the audience turning up at the theatres.
Breaking all these myths, the Telugu audience proved that nothing stops them when it comes to encouraging cinema. ‘SBSB’ is released in about 400 theatres across the Telugu states putting all the safety precautions in place.
Giving a joyous ride to the TFI, the people thronged to the theatres on the first day of its release and gave the much-needed confidence to those who lined up their movies for a Sankranti release.
‘Solo Brathuke So Better’ registered about 72% occupancy overall on its release day.
The film directed by Subbu and produced by BVSN Prasad under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra kick-started the cash registers ringing at the box office with adequate collections keeping the pandemic scenario in mind.
As per the latest reports, the movie has collected over 4 crores in AP, Telangana, and overseas combined. And it is huge considering the dreadful times of corona.
The Sai Dharam Tej starrer features Nabha Natesh in the female lead. Rajendra Prasad, Naresh, Rao Ramesh, and Vennela Kishore also entertained the audience who moved out to watch a movie in theatres after a huge gap of ten months.
