Thalaivi is a biopic on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Late J Jayalalithaa. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is essaying the role of the former AIADMK supremo who was also the women of the masses in Tamil Nadu.
Marking the occasion of Jayalalithaa’s 73rd birth anniversary, the makers have announced the release date of the biopic on Wednesday evening. Sharing a teaser glimpse on her social media account, Kangana Ranaut wrote ‘”To Jaya Amma, on her birth anniversary. Aravind Swamy is playing the role of legendary MG Ramachandran urf MGR in the movie. The first look pictures of him as MGR, which were released recently, spread like a wildfire on social media.
AL Vijay is helming this prestigious project. Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh are bankrolling the biopic which hits the screens on 23rd April 2021.
