K V Anand’s Death Shocked Me: Rajinikanth

K V Anand is one of the prominent film makers of Tamil cinema and he died unfortunately in the wee hours on Friday due to Covid. Several celebrities mourned the loss of the film fraternity on Twitter and several other social media platforms. Superstar Rajinikanth who is deeply saddened by Anand’s death stated that he is shocked to hear the demise of a great director and cinematographer.

Taking to Twitter, Rajinikanth stated, ‘ The demise of the venerable KV Anand is shocking and painful. My deepest condolences to his family for leaving him. May his soul attain peace.’ The legendary director directed several films like Ayan, Kavan, Anegan, Kaappaan, Maatran, Ko and also handled cinematography for many more films. He even won the National Award for his exquisite work in the cinematography.

Another icon of the Tamil Industry, Kamal Haasan expressed that KV Anand’s death is painful. Director Shankar expressed deep sorrow for losing his friend who worked in classic movies like Boys, Sivaji and Nayak.
