Actor Siddharth has alleged that his mobile number is leaked by the Tamil Nadu BJP IT cell. The actor said that because of this, he and his family members are getting death and rape threats over his phone. The actor has been expressing his views against the government’s failure in handling Covid and he is critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over pushing the public into trouble with severe mismanagement of the crisis.
Revealing about the threat calls, Siddharth shared a post on Thursday morning by stating. ‘My phone number was leaked by members of TN BJP and @BJPtnITcell. Over 500 calls of abuse, rape, and death threats to me & family for over 24 hrs. All numbers recorded (with BJP links and DPs) and handing over to Police. I will not shut up. Keep trying.’
Furthermore, the actor also shared few screenshots of the trolls who threatened him. Sharing them, he wrote, ‘This is one of many social media posts by BJP TN members leaking my number yesterday and telling people to attack and harass me. “Ivan inimela vaaye thirakka koodathu” (this fellow must never open his mouth again) We might survive Covid. Will we survive these people?’.
Besides, he also marked the post to both Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. While the BJP supporters and workers are attacking the actor, many are coming in support of the ‘Rang De Basanti’ actor. On the other hand, the Tamil Nadu State President of BJP’s IT wing has denied Siddharth’s charge.
Meanwhile, Siddharth is making a re-entry into Tollywood after a while with ‘Maha Samudram’. The film is under production and it will hit the theatres on 19th August 2021 if the pandemic situation gets into control by then.
