‘Gatham’ is a psychological thriller released on OTT in the month of November. This movie has got rave reviews from the critics and the efforts of young NRIs behind this Telugu cinema were applauded by all sections. Especially, director Kiran Kondamadugula became successful in shaping the movie into an interesting and engaging watch.
Being made with a shoestring budget, the technical aspects and the music put the film on a different platform altogether. Now, it has achieved a remarkable feat by getting selected by Indian Panorama for screening at the 51st International Indian Film Festival which will be held in Goa.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has announced the list of 23 feature and 20 non-feature films on Saturday. ‘Gatham’ got selected from a wide pool of 183 Indian films of different genres.
The film festival was supposed to happen in the month of November. But it got postponed to 16-24th January due to the pandemic
Bhargava Poludasu, Srujan Yarabolu, and Harsha Pratap bankrolled this thriller, while Kiran Kondamadugula helmed the project. Bhargava Poludasu, Rakesh Galebhe, and Poojitha Kuraparthi featured in the main roles.
In the past, the Bahubali franchise bagged this honor in 2016 and 2017, while Mahanati made it in 2018 and F2 in 2019.
