Powerstar Pawan Kalyan made his debut in Tollywood as a younger brother of Megastar Chiranjeevi. But, he toed his own path and built a special image for himself through the films, Suswagathm, Tholi Prema, Thammudu, Badri, and Kushi. And the turn of the century has transformed him into a heart-throb of Telugu youth. Especially, Kushi catapulted him into the top league in Telugu Film Industry.
Kushi starring Pawan Kalyan and Bhumika Chawla has completed 20 years and his role as Sidhu Siddartha Roy is still fondly remembered by his fans. Produced by AM Ratnam, the film was directed by S J Suryah. It went on to become one of the few evergreen movies which remain as cult classics.
All the songs composed by Mani Ratnam still appeal fresh to the audience. The picturization of the songs also needs a special mention. Especially, PC Sreeram’s exquisite cinematography brought life to every frame on the screen.

Especially, the chemistry between youthful Pawan and Bhumika is a treat to watch. And also, the lovely father and daughter relationship, Ali’s comical entertainment as a friend, Sudhakar’s performance as an over-aged student, and uniquely composed fight sequences provided unparalleled entertainment to the moviegoers.
