The cine lovers missed all the entertainment in theatres for long since the Covid lockdown. However, the dawn of the new year brought all the smiles back and several movies released in the last three months went on to become blockbusters, especially in Tollywood. Unfortunately, the situation is short-lived and the dreadful days are back again with the spike in Covid 19 cases across the country.
So, several movies which planned their releases in April are getting postponed due to the alarming rise of Covid cases. Sekhar Kammula’s Love Story is one of the most awaited movies this month. But, the makers decided to postpone it due to the current situation. The record-breaking ‘ Saaranga Dariya’ song added more excitement among the audience to watch the film.
Announcing the postponement, director Sekhar Kammula clarified that the present situation is not encouraging for the entire families to come and watch the film. So, the ‘Fida’ director has stated that ‘Love Story’ which is supposed to hit the theatres on April 16th is postponed for a release once normalcy restores.
Accordingly, Kangana Ranaut’s Pan India film ‘Thalaivi’ which should release on 23rd April is also postponed. The film based on Tamil Nadu’s former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s life story is dubbed into several languages including Telugu.

Above all, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Acharya’ is slated for a release on 13th May. And it has to be seen how the scenario will be in the coming days. If the situation worsens, there is no other option for the makers to postpone its release too as there will be huge numbers involved in the Megastar’s film.
Fortunately, Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Vakeel Saab’ which stormed into theatres today is enjoying a good run at the box office by daring the second wave of Covid.
