It has been quite a while for King Nagarjuna to do an out and out action film. And he is back with ‘Wild Dog’ which hit the theatres today. Late last year, the makers thought of releasing it directly on OTT. But, seeing the unparalleled response of the Telugu audience to the movies in theatres at the dawn of the year made Nagarjuna Akkineni directly greet the audience in theatres.

After a bomb blast rocks the city of Hyderabad, Wild Dog aka NIA officer Vijay Varma is put into action again by bringing him back from the idle duties. Vijay who faces a personal loss in such a terror explosion in the past pounds on the opportunity and identifies the mastermind behind the blast, Khalid Bhaktal.
How he nabs the terrorist alive with a covert operation is the rest of the story.

Nagarjuna walks away with all the credit with a captivating performance. Above all, the handsome actor who is known for his romantic image on the screen has done well in this action-packed role. It certainly paid off for Nag. Apart from being as beautiful as ever, Diya Mirza looked convincing in her role. Saiyami Kher needs a special mention as well. Atul Kulkarni and Ali Reza played their part.

Appaji Ambarisha Darbha, Avijit Dutt and others also made their presence felt.

All the credit should go to Ashishor Solomon’s treatment of the subject and storytelling. He excelled in delivering an edge of the seat action drama. Cinematography is so exquisite that it keeps you glued to the screen with rich visuals. Moreover, producers S. Niranjan Reddy and K. Anvesh Reddy who made the film under the Matinee Entertainment banner should be complimented for the high-end production values. Music is aptly designed for the film.
