‘Super Over’ is a Telugu crime thriller released on AHA OTT as its original film. Having a run time of just about one and half hour, the suspense is weaved on amount won in cricket betting. Those who watched the movie say that it is a gripping thriller. Unfortunately, Praveen Varma, the director of the film is no more to enjoy its success.

Story/ Plot

Kasi (Naveen), Vasu (Mouli), and Madhu (Chandini) are close buddies and they end up taking a swing at cricket betting. Finally, they win 1.7 Cr in the T20 league betting. Then, the actual story unfolds. Whether they are able to get that amount won in the betting or not is to be watched on AHA OTT.

Technical Aspects

Praveen Varma designed ‘Super Over’ perfectly suited for shooting during the lockdown times. He efficiently used the deserted streets of Hyderabad during the night. Actually, the suspense is weaved and unfolded in a single night. More than the story, it is a screenplay-driven movie keeping the suspense till the end. So, all the credit goes to the director for churning out a quick suspense thriller. As the Super Over progresses, it gets exciting.

The back and forth technique of storytelling is also used in the movie. Cinematography, background score, and editing are fine. However, the cuss words in the dialogues might make a few uncomfortable, especially if they watch along with the family.

Performances

Basically, the actors just need to behave for these types of movies. So, it can be said that the director was successful in bringing proper reactions from his artists. However, there is nothing to highlight anyone’s performance. Everyone played their part.
