Hero Karthi is equally popular in Telugu as he is in Tamil. Being a younger brother of Surya, he made a special niche for himself with an energetic acting style and versatile roles. Apart from several dubbed films, he connected a right chord with the Telugu audience through Nag’s ‘Oopiri’ as well. Recently, films like ‘Khaki’ and ‘Khaidi’ helped him to reconnect with the movie lovers of Telugu states. And he is finally back to greet them once again with ‘Sulthan’.

Vikram aka Sulthan (Karthi) is the son of an ageing gangster(Napolean). He is raised by 100 rowdies in Mumbai as his mother passed away at his early age. However, he becomes a robotic engineer in the financial capital and decides to reform the henchmen upon his father’s demise.

Meanwhile, he has a face-off with a corporate giant to save a neighbouring village land. In the process, he ends up falling for Rukmini(Rashmika Mandanna). How he saves the village and whether Vikram succeeds in transforming the lives of the thugs or not is the rest of the story.

It’s Karthi all the way who steals the show with his on-screen presence and ease in acting. Something is there in the entire package that makes him more related by the Telugu audience than his brother Suriya. Karthi pulled off his role with a huge scope for performance brilliantly and at the same time effortlessly. Rashmika Mandanna lit the screen with her quirky expressions while Yogi Babu added all the fun in the movie.
Napolean, Madaiyan Bob, Hareesh Peradi, Ramachandra Raju and Nawab Shah did their part.

Director Bakkiyaraj Kannan is very straight and simple in his thought without any ambiguity that he is delivering a commercial movie to entertain the masses with occasional twists and turns. The production values by S. R. Prakash Babu and S. R. Prabhu under Dream Warrior Pictures are top-notch and very lavish. It is definitely a feast for the audience who love massy films. Moreover, the visuals, music, dialogues, and editing also takeover the movie lovers senses.

Karthi definitely entertains the masses. So, confidently drive yourself to a theatre to watch this commercial entertainer.
