Actor Satya Dev has become an OTT star these days with a string of releases on these platforms since the lockdown. And Guvva Gorinka is the latest and it is streaming on Amazon Prime. However, this movie ended up as a damp squib failing to engage the audience from the beginning.

This is a love story where the hero and the heroine don’t see each other till the end. Sirisha(Priya Lal) wants to pursue her career in music and she lands up at her friend’s place in Hyderabad. Later, she moves to an apartment where Sadhanand( Satya Dev) happens to be her neighbor. He is a mechanical engineer but allergic to sound and wants to invent a noiseless engine as a part of his Ph.D.

Actually, it is a single portion of the house but was partitioned into two by plaster. Hence, the sounds are easily audible between the two portions. Besides, both Sirisha and Sadhanand can converse without seeing each other. In the process, they fall for each other developing an emotional bond. Whether their love story ends happily or not is the rest of the story.

Technical Aspects

It is extremely disappointing to watch the movie from the beginning. The technical values are so pathetic that they kill the movie-watching experience. It is better not to talk about the quality of direction, camera, music, and editing. Everything is ordinary and nothing much to mention about.

The performances reflect the limitations in the script as there is not much for anyone to deliver an exceptional one. Satya Dev did his best as per the role and Priya Lal played her part as a middle-class girl. Talents like Rahul Ramakrishna and Priya Darshi are wasted in this movie. Most of the scenes look forced upon just for the sake of comedy. Except for one or two scenes, the comedy sequences are very pale. Above all, Bithiri Sathi and Mangli cameo appearances test the nerves.
