When veteran producer MS Raju announced this Dirty Hari, many raised their eyebrows in disbelief. Because, he produced several classic movies like Satruvu, Devi Putrudu, Varsham and etc under his Sumanth Arts banner. However, Raju proved himself again that he lives up to the standards he set through his latest flick ‘Dirty Hari’ which is released on OTT last weekend.

Story/Plot

Carrying great ambitions, Hari (Sharavan Reddy) lands in Hyderabad to join the elite in the city at any cost. Being a professional chess player, he joins a club as a chess trainer. There he happens to meet Akash who is a cousin of a wealthy businessman’s daughter Vasudha ( Ruhani Sharma). Eventually, both of them fall in love.

At the same time, Hari also falls for an aspiring actress Jasmine (Simrat Kaur).  She also happens to be the short time girlfriend of Akash, Vasudha’s cousin brother. Hari gets to marry the rich Vasudha but he continues the dangerous extramarital affair with Jasmine. Where this leads is the rest of the story.

Technical Aspects

Right from the opening shot, the technical values look very sound. MS Raju who helmed the project as a director as well as a writer nailed the screenplay, visuals, performances, and sensuous scenes with much sophistication. Cinematography by MN Baal Reddy is brilliant and Mark K Robin’s music complimented the mood of the film perfectly. Junaid’s editing helped the movie’s narrative to be crisp and precise.

Performances

The makers should be given credit for selecting the right star cast. Shravan Reddy pulled off his role as an ambitious, intelligent, and lustful person perfectly. Besides, he looks very handsome all throughout the film. Ruhani Sharma carried her grace as a rich daughter as well as a devoted and duteous wife. And all the credit should go to Simrat Kaur for portraying a bold role effortlessly. In fact, she set the screen on fire with her eyes, looks, and above all she looked natural without any taboos in the lovemaking scenes. Likewise, Surekha Vani and Appaji Ambarisha’s performances as rich multi-millionaire parents are noteworthy.

Highlights

  • Glossy Backdrop and Visuals
  • Shravan Reddy and Simrat Kaur Chemistry
  • Sensous Lovemaking scenes
  • Slick Screenplay
  • Poised Performances

Drawbacks

Hero with very humble background looking so polished and getting easy access to a wealthy man’s family doesn’t look believable

Verdict

A well-conceived lust story strictly for adults.
