Despite the Covid-19, Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Solo Brathuke So Better’ which released on Friday(25th December) did well at the Box office in both the Telugu states. The openings of this movie crossed the expectations and collected about 3 crores on the first day. Besides, it continued its strong run even on Sunday by collecting about 2 crores.
The movie did exceedingly well considering the 50% occupancy due to the social distancing by collecting a share of over 7.5 crores in three days. What makes these collections more commendable is that Sai Dharam Tej’s previous films ‘Chitralahari and ‘Prati Roju Pandage’ collected 8 and 9 crores respectively in the opening weekend before the pandemic.
|Area||Day 1||Day 2||Day 3|
|Karnataka and ROI||32L|
|Total||3.43||1.90 Cr||+or- 2 Cr|
Hence, 7.5 crores is huge during the times of pandemic. Directed by Subbu, this movie is entertaining the mega fans and will clearly be considered a hit if it collected a share of 8.5 crores. Crossing this seems to be a cakewalk for ‘Solo Brathuke So Better’.
All the credit goes to the Telugu audience as the Bollywood movies which are released across India are coming nowhere near the ‘SBSB’ collections. The exhibitors are overwhelmed with the response to the movie. They are very happy to clean the dust of ‘House Full’ boards and display them at the theatres after a long gap of nine months.
