Synopsis

ఐదుగురు చిన్న నాటి స్నేహితుల వింత జీవితాలు. స్నేహానికి జీవిత ఆశయానికీ మధ్య జరిగే సంఘర్షణ. స్నేహితులు స్నేహితులుగానే వుంటారా లేదా శత్రువులుగా మారుతారా? వాళ్ళ ఆశయాలు సరైనవేనా? ఒకరు(ఆంధ్రా కుమార్) చదువు, ఉద్యోగం లేదా డబ్బుంటేనే సమాజంలో తలెత్తుకొని జీవించొచ్చు అని నమ్మితే మరొకరు (బిల్లూ గాడు) జీవితమంటే నక్కజిత్తుల డ్రిల్ వ్యాయామం లాంటిదని నమ్మే రకం. ప్రేమ తప్పిచ్చి మరొకటి లేదని నమ్మేది ఒకరైతే (రాజేశ్వరి), ప్రేమ లేదు దోమా లేదు, నేనొక సినిమా హీరోయిన్ని పెళ్ళిచేసుకొంటే చాలు అని ప్లాన్లేసుకొనే వాడు మరొకడు(రామ్). ఇదంతా కాదు, నేను మిస్.యూనివర్స్‍ అవ్వాలి అంతే అని కోరుకొనే, ఏ మగాడూ తలెత్తి కూడా చూడని అందగత్తె మరొకరు(జెన్నీ). ఈ ఐదుగురి కధే డగుల్ బోయ్స్‍. This is the story of five childhood friends and the friction between their life ambitions and their friendship. While one(Andhra Kumar) believes that without Education, Job or money there is no respect you get in society, another(Billu gadu) believes life is a big drill of cunning tricks. While one(Rajeswari) believes that there is nothing that is more important than love, another(Ram) says love is bullshit and that his ambition is only to marry a film heroine. And then there is Jenny, who wants to be Miss Universe but not one guy even bothers to look at her face. These five form the story of Duggle Boys. Are their ambitions right? వీడు ఐదుగురిలోకి జెంటిల్‍ మేన్. టిపికల్ 'రాముడు మంచి బాలుడు' లాంటి వాడు. చిన్న‌ప్పటి నుండీ క్లాస్ ఫస్ట్‍ అనేది వీడికి సర్వ సాధారణం. ఇప్పుడు బీ.టెక్ కంప్యూటర్ సైన్స్‍ ఫైనల్ ఇయర్ చేస్తున్నాడు, ఎప్పటిలానే కాలేజ్ ఫస్ట్‍ అండ్ ఆల్‍రెడీ ప్లేస్డ్‍ ఇన్ ఎ బిగ్ సాఫ్ట్‍వేర్‍ కంపెనీ. లైఫ్ సెటిల్డ్‍, ఇంట్లో పెళ్ళి చేసుకోమని కూడా మొదలెట్టారు వత్తిడి, కట్నం బాగా వస్తుందని వాళ్ళ అమ్మా నాన్నల ఆశ. వీడికైతే ఆ ఆశ లేదు. వీడికి ఒకటే ఆశ, బాగా డబ్బు గడించాలి. ఎవరికీ అందనంత హోదాలో వుండాలి. తన తెలివితేటలతో ఆ హోదాను, డబ్బును సంపాదించాలి. వీడికి రామ్‍గాడంటే పడదు. రామ్‍గాడి అత్యాశ అంటే ఇంకా అసహ్యం. కానీ ఎన్నడూ దాని గురించి బయటకు మాట్లాడలేదు. వీడి అమ్మా నాన్నలకు బిల్లూగాడంటే పడదు. ఆ లోఫర్‍గాడితో నీకేంటిరా అంటూ చిన్నప్పటినుండీ పోరే ఇంట్లో. This guy is the gentleman of the five. He is the typical 'Ramudu manchi baludu' type. All through his education he came first in class and now in his final year of B.Tech Computer Science he is college first. And he is already placed in a big MNC Software Company. His parents are already forcing him to marry, expecting a big dowry. But AK never had that expectation. All he wanted was to earn a lot of money and be in a status that is hard for others to reach. AK never liked Ram or Ram's stupid ambition of marrying a heroine. But he never spoke about it. AK's parents hated Billu gadu. "What do you have to do with that loafer", is what they always asked him since his childhood.

వీడు సెల్ఫ్‍‍ ఎడుకేటెడ్ లోఫర్. అనాథ ఐన వీడిని వాళ్ళ ఏరియా లోని ఒక దర్గా వాళ్ళు దగ్గర తీసుకొని పెంచారు. 14వ‌ యేట వీధి పిల్లలతో గొడవకు దిగి, ఐదుగురి దవడలు పగలగొట్టడంతో తన్ని తరిమేసారు దర్గా నుండి. అప్పటినుండి, అదే ఏరియాలో ఒక ఛాయ్ దుకాణంలో పని చేస్తూ 21వ యేటికల్లా ఆ ఏరియా లో లోకల్ రౌడీ గా తయారయ్యాడు. వీడు బడికెళ్ళే పిల్లల దగ్గర పుస్తకాలు దౌర్జన్యంగా లాక్కొని చదివి విషయాలు తెలుసుకొనేవాడు చిన్నప్పుడు. అది కాస్తా అలవాటై పెద్దయ్యాక కాలేజీ స్టూడెంట్లను బెదిరించి వాళ్ళ పుస్తకాలు చదవడము మొదలెట్టాడు. వాళ్ళ లైబ్రర్రీ కార్డులతో కావలసిన పుస్తకాలన్నీ చదువుతూ వుంటాడు. కానీ ఏనాడూ, ఏకే నుండి గానీ, రాజేశ్వరి నుండి గానీ, రామ్ నుండి గానీ, జెన్నీ నుండి గానీ ఏ పుస్తకమూ అడగలేదు. వీడికి ఈ నలుగురూ ఎలా స్నేహితులయ్యరనేది ఒక తమాషా కధ. దానికి తరవాత వద్దాము. This guy is a self educated loafer. Being an orphan he was taken care of by a Darga in their area. But when he was 14 he was kicked out of the Darga as he broke the jaws of 5 street kids in a fight. Since then he worked in a local tea shop and by 21 he grew into the local rowdy. Billu had the habit of threatening school chidren and reading their books since his childhood. This habit later made him threaten college students too and he read their books. He used their library cards to get hold of books he liked and kept reading them. But he never ever asked a single book from AK or Rajeswari or Ram or Jenny. Now, how a guy like Billu is friends with these four people is a funny story, we shall come to that later.

పదహారణాల తెలుగమ్మాయి. అసలుసిసలైన సినిమా పిచ్చి వున్న ఆంధ్రా అమ్మాయి. సినిమాలలో చూపించే లవ్ కాంసెప్టులు బాగా నెత్తికెక్కి అదొకరకమైన ల‌క్ పిచ్చిలో వుంటుంది ఎప్పుడూ. ఒక రొమాంటిక్ అబ్బాయి కోసం సదా ఎదురుచూస్తూ, ప్రపంచంలో లవ్ తప్ప ఇంకేమీ లేదు అన్న భావనతో బతుకుతూ వుంటుంది. బి. ఏ. ఆర్ట్స్‍ ముగించి ఏడాదైనా ఉద్యోగం చేసే ఇంటరెస్ట్‍ లేక జాలిగా ఇంట్లోనే గడిపేస్తు, స్నేహితులతో గడిపేస్తూ వుంది. బాగా డబ్బున్న ఫ్యామిలీలో పుట్టడం వల్ల చిన్నప్పటి నుండీ ఏ కష్టమూ ఎరుగకుండా పెరిగింది. రామ్ అంటే కొంచెం ఎక్కువ ఇష్టం ఈమెకు, కానీ అతని హీరోయిన్ పిచ్చికి ఏమనాలో తెలియక ఆ విషయమును వీలైనంతగా అవాయిడ్ చేయడనికి ప్రయత్నిస్తూ వుంటుంది. బీల్లూ గాడి మీద ఎందుకో మొదటి నుండీ జాలి. జెన్నీ అంటే కూడా అదే జాలి. A typical Telugu girl. Completely influenced by love stories shown in Telugu movies. And obsessed with love, she feels there is nothing as meaningful as love in life. Here it is not love in the universal sense, it is love between a girl and boy she is obsessed with. She lives with an endless wait for a romantic guy with whom she would like to spend her rest of life. Having finished her BA. Arts a year back, and not interested in doing a job, as she comes from a rich family, she keeps whiling away her time with friends. She has a liking for Ram but she is dumbfounded with his obsession with marrying a heroine. She has a kind of pity for Billu and Jenny.

వీడో వితండవాది. చిన్నప్పటినుండీ ఏదో ఒక పిచ్చి అలోచన్ పట్టుకొని వేలాడేవాడు. విషయమేమిటంటే, అనుకొన్నది సాధించడము వీడికి సర్వ సాధారణాము. ఏదో ఒకటి చేసి అనుకొన్నది నెరవేర్చుకొంటాడు. పరమ సెల్ఫిష్ మనిషి. పక్క వాళ్ళ గురించి ఏమాత్రం ఆలోచించడు. కాని మిగతా నలుగురితో మాత్రం అదో తెలియని అనుబంధంతో వుంటాడు. వాళ్ళకి వీడి సెల్ఫిష్‍తనం తెలుసు కానీ ఎందుకో చిన్నప్పటి స్నేహంవలనో ఏమిటో తెలియదు కలిసే వుంటారు. వీడు ప్రతుతం పట్టుకొని వేలాడే పిచ్చి ఆలోచన, ఎలాగైనా ఒక హీరోయిన్ని పెళ్ళిచేసుకోవాలని. వీడికి ప్రేమా దోమా అవన్నీ పడవు, నమ్మకము లేవు కూడా. ప్యూర్లీ సెక్షువల్ ఇంటరెస్ట్‍తో ఇన్స్పైర్ అయ్యి హీరోయిన్ వేటలో వున్నాడు. మిగతా నలుగురికీ ఈ విషయములో ఏం చేయాలో తెలియక ఒక రకమైన నిశ్సబ్దమును కొనసాగిస్తున్నారు. This guy is an extreme case in the five. Since his childhood he had the habit of clinging to some extreme desire, but the surprising thing is he was always successful at achieving what he desired. He is an extremely selfish guy and had no regard for others, but when it came to the remaining four he was affectionate with them. And his present extreme desire was to marry a heroine. He never believed in love and his obsessions to marry a heroine was purely sexual and he never was afraid to accept that fact. The remaining four were dumbfounded with his obsession and maintained a kind of silence in this matter.

అప్పళమ్మలా వుంటుంది ఈవిడ. కానీ కోరికేమో మిస్. యూనివర్స్‍ అవుదామని. తను అమితమైన అందగత్తెనని ఎలాగో గట్టిగా నమ్మకం ఏర్పడింది మొదటినుండీ. పది మంది మగాళ్ళ మధ్యలో ఈవిడ వుంటే ఏ ఒక్కడు కూడా తల తిప్పి చూడడు. అంత సర్వ సాధారణంగా వుంటుంది. మిగతా నలుగురికీ జెన్నీ అంటే విపరీతమైన ఇష్టము. నలుగురూ ఏనాడూ తనను ఎగతాళి చేసింది లేదు. ఇంకా విపరీతంగా ఎంకరేజ్ చేస్తారు తనను, మిస్. యూనివర్స్‍ పోటీలలో తప్పకుండా పార్టిసిపేట్ చేయాలని. An absolutely ordinary looking girl, but with the desire to become Miss. Universe! Somehow she strongly believes that she is the most beautiful girl and is just waiting to participate in the Ms. Universe competition. The remaining for have an amazing affection for Jenny and never have they made fun of her looks.
