Why do I want to CutLoose on this topic?

A Resume is the most important component in all our job searches. Lets list out all the important aspects that make a Winning Resume. After we all discuss, we shall make a summary of all the key aspects and it can be a guide for us. What do you all say?

A Winning Resume is one that effectively communicates what an Employer looks for in a potential candidate in view of the Job he is applying for.

Now shall we list out all the important elements that a Resume should contain?

I am starting:

1. First of all it should have a very brief snapshot that instantly communicates who you are and what your background is to the employer. Because an employer doesn't take much time to decide your eligibility.

2. You have to highlight your specific skills that you demonstrated in your previous experiences, and these specific skills need to be matching the requirements of the job you are applying for.

3. See to it that you are not replacing the oldest format of Resume with your details. It makes no sense. That's what everybody does. Try to make it different, that way it catches the attention of the recruiter immediately.

4. Have a short and powerful Cover Letter. One very important thing: don't tell your story like an epic. KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid) :)

remember two things. 1. they dont have time to read through your resume and 2. self marketing, show what they want; not what you have done.
